Dr. Virág Fehér

Dr. Fehér obtained her diploma in general medicine and became family medicine specialist at the University of Pécs, Hungary in 1998 and 2003, respectively.
During her training, she studied the side effects of paracetamol and the molecular epidemiology of human breast cancer. She defended her thesis and became Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with First Class Honours degree.
She has been working in GP practices in Hungary and Ireland since 2000 and 2008, respectively. She established her own Galway-based practice in 2012 that has recently been expanded as “The Heights Medical Centre”.
She is member of the Irish College of General Practitioners (I.C.G.P.) and registered in the specialist register of the Irish Medical Council (I.M.C.).
Besides being a specialist in family medicine, Dr. Fehér has also been certified in:
- Family planning (awarded by the I.C.G.P., Ireland)
- Minor surgery (awarded by the I.C.G.P., Ireland)
- Diagnostic ultrasound (awarded by the Hungarian Radiologist Society, Hungary)
- Cervical cancer screening (awarded by the I.C.G.P., Ireland)
- Fetal medicine (awarded by the Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK)
- Early pregnancy ultrasound (awarded by the Centre for Ultrasound Studies, UK)
