Thérèse is a former Irish Research Council for the Humanities and Social Science’s (IRCHSS) Government of Ireland Scholar and is in the write-up phase of a PhD at NUI Galway’s Centre for Irish Studies.
She is a member of the Oral History Network of Ireland’s (OHNI) Steering Committee and serves as the organisation’s Social Media Coordinator. Recently, she also completed work on the Arts Council-funded ‘The 1916 Song Project’ in collaboration with Michael Fortune and Aileen Lambert.
During the Summer of 2012, Thérèse was awarded funding by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s (BAI’s) Sound and Vision scheme that resulted in the award-winning ‘Herosongs: Where History and Song Meet’ series for RTÉ Radio 1, for which she was the presenter/researcher/writer.
The series was shortlisted for a Celtic Media Festival Award (2014 – Musical Programme) and went on to win Gold at the New York Festival Radio Awards for World’s Best Programme in Education in 2014.
She is also the Social Media Coordinator for the Oral History Network of Ireland and is an avid Galway supporter of the GAA.
Thérèse has been working with us as chief Receptionist since 2014.
